How Content-Sharing Widgets Works

The calendar elements (including search boxes, mini calendar, upcoming events scroller, etc. (calendar “widgets”)) that you see on Soleil’s To-Dos are not actually on the website, they widgets that are generated through a hosted calendar service website.   The widget is simply pasted in the location on the web page where you want the calendar or feature to appear.  The calendar that you will see is data that is not stored on your site, therefore, no worries about impacting your server’s capacity!

Soleil’s To-Dos offers three types of content-sharing, designed to provide specific solutions and benefits to suit your needs: 

• Full-Content-Sharing Widget

  Perhaps your organization attempts to maintain a full, updated event calendar, but is unable to do so.  A comprehensive event calendar requires a great deal of time to gather, input and update the information.  So if your business is not specifically to provide an event calendar – leave the planning to Soleil’s To-Dos and

• Limited Content-Sharing Widget

  The Limited Content-Sharing Widget is a great solution for artist/performer websites.  Often, these sites do not contain options (such as text and e-mail message reminders or notifications of change, download to calendar and forward to a friend) that facilitate attendance.  Many performance venues have calendars that are similarly lacking in functionality and organization.  If your website calendar suffers these drawbacks, limited content-sharing will solve your problem!

·                    Embedding the calendar is easy!  Soleil’s To-Dos will provide you with the html code to insert on the designated area of your website.  Simply copy it and paste it in! 

·                    The calendar must be accompanied by a hyperlink logo to Soleil’s To-Dos with the phrase “Calendar provided by”
