Why isn’t there a discount for Picnic
only? Because you’re getting a great deal either way
and inevitably Soleil’s To-Dos will eat some
of the cost. We also want to provide an incentive for
people to ride the train together (‘cuz that helps to make
connections). This To-Do isn’t designed to
make money, it’s to make connections!
Are refunds given? $100% refund
for requests made by 5pm on Tuesday, June 22nd.
No refunds thereafter, regardless of whether you like the
food. ;-)
When do I get my Party Train Tickets?
There are no tickets; as you board the train you will receive a wristband that
entitles you to food, drink and round trip transportation
aboard the Party Train.
When do I get my concert tickets?
You’ll have to work that part out with Ravinia at
www.Ravinia.com. If you’d like to avoid the hefty
surcharge, contact me to purchase tickets through
Soleil’s To-Dos.
Where do I board the train? At
the Ogilvie train station on Madison between Clinton and
Canal. Our route is the
Chicago Union Pacific North Line, Train #807, departing
at 3:35pm. The specific track information will not be
available until shortly before departure, so you’ll need to
check for specifics at the station. We will post specific
info on FB when it becomes available. You can also select
the option “Notify me of Changes” on the
event detail page to receive text or e-mail notification
when we update the To-Do with boarding info
and our approximate location in the park. Four sets of
red balloons (in clear plastic bags) will identify the
particular car that we are boarding.
Can I take a different train? You
can board our Train #807 at another location
along our route.
What if I can’t make the train?
Then you’ll drive. Or take a later train at your own cost.
What if I miss the return train?
Then you would most likely be drunk somewhere. When we
disembark at Ravinia, we will point out the area where we
will meet following the concert. If you meet
at the designated location at 10:50pm, you will
not only make the return train, but you will most likely
(based on what happened last year), be warmly welcomed past
throngs of impatient people waiting for the train and
ushered onto the first and closest car, proudly brandishing
your exclusive Soleil’s To-Dos wristbands!
Where do I park to board at Ogilvie?
At Systems Garage, just north of Randolph between
Clinton and Canal. Parking is $10 if you mention “Simply
Social.”
What time will return to the Ogilvie
train station? The train leaves the park at 11:07 and
returns to Ogilvie at 11:55pm.
What if I don’t want to eat your
food? Bring your own.
What if I only want to drank yo dranks?
Drink up!
I’m a vegetarian – will there be food
for me? Yes – always! Contact me by e-mail no later
than 5pm on Tuesday, June 22nd.
Will there be enough for me to get
full (should I bring my own food)? Well, that depends
on how much you can eat! Last year, about ½ of our
Sophisticates brought additional food and wine. I
expect that the food,
mojitos, soda, water and
wine will be ample.
